Sherry Fruit Trifle

Servings: 2


  • 1 x 115g ready-made pot of jelly
  • ½ (32g) packet instant custard powder, or 2 tsps custard powder and 2 tsps sugar
  • 2 bottles Fortisip Compact Protein, Vanilla flavour
  • 1 small can fruit (drained weight 140g), or fresh fruit 
  • 15 ml (3 tsps) sherry+, optional
  • 1 packet dream topping (36g)
  • Sprinkles to decorate, optional



Prepare 2 glasses or 2 dishes 

  1. Place 50g of fruit in the base of each dish/glass
  2. Pour 1 tsp sherry into each glass/dish optional
  3. Divide the jelly between the 2 glasses/dishes on top of the fruit
  4. Make up the custard by placing the custard powder into a pan and add 1 bottle of Fortisip Compact Protein. 
  5. Cook over a gentle heat, whisk continuously until the custard thickens - do not boil - pour the custard over the jelly and place in the fridge to set
  6. Whisk the packet of dream topping with 1 bottle of Fortisip Compact Protein and remaining teaspoon of sherry (optional) until it thickens
  7. Place the dream topping on top of the custard and decorate with sprinkles if desired

Can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Top Tip

Try using Fortisip Compact Protein Strawberry or Banana flavours instead of Vanilla.
